About Patternry
Patternry, previously known as The UI Pattern Factory (and for a while Pattern App), is a resource for everyone who needs to design or develop user interfaces. It is a collection of Web design patterns, best practices, which helps you to find inspiration and design interfaces with great user experience. It is also a user interface gallery full of real world examples of our patterns.
We are not there yet
Patternry is currently a work in progress. Our aim is to create a forum and a tool for sharing, creating and managing design patterns. The objective is to help people build better user experiences. We are yet a few steps away of making this true, but the foundation has now been laid.

The team behind Patternry
Janne Lammi
Janne is our pattern curator and UI designer. He has been interested in UI design patterns since 2006 when he wrote his Master's thesis about creating a design pattern library and started The UI Pattern Factory, predecessor to Patternry. Janne is passionate about everything related to user interfaces, but more than anything, he is simply passionate about his favorite soccer team, HJK.
Matti Varjokallio
Matti is responsible for the software development work for Patternry, currently using Django and jQuery. He is thrilled about producing high quality software with the latest tools. In the last years Matti has gained plenty of experience in different kinds of software development projects making him the technical guru we need. When out of office, Matti enjoys playing couple rounds of chess or different sports.
Johannes Hocksell
As the CEO of Pattern Factory Oy (Ltd.) Johannes is the guy who is responsible for all the mundane aspects of running a start-up and allowing the others to concentrate to their work fully. Besides of brewing coffee, Johannes also has a knack at developing new innovative service/product concepts. Having a background in marketing he never tires about preaching to keep the user in the center of every new concept or design. When not in the office he enjoys experiencing new people, places and culture either by travel or a good book.
